Christian Ramirez was incorporated into the Firm in 2005.
His professional practice is focused on design of mechanical parts (CAD), mechanical analysis (CAE) and manufacturing planning (CAM). Experience in non-traditional manufacturing processes and industrial robotics. Likewise his duties include consulting the Firm’s clients in Industrial Property matters, especially in all aspects of invention patents, national and international, search reports, evaluation of technologies, state of the art, preparation and composition of patent applications, in the fields of electricity, electronics and mechanics. He also provides all necessary technical support to the Firm’s judicial team in litigation cases for patent matters.
Other work experience:
European Southern Observatory (ESO) (2009 to current). Mechanical Engineer (part time) responsible for systems support for mirrors with 8 meter diameter and mechanical functioning of auxiliary telescopes at Paranal Observatory.
He was a Professor of automation and control systems as well as Machine Design, Department of Timber Engineering, College of Forestry Science at Universidad de Chile, (2000-2004). He was Assistant Professor in Material Technology (metal, polymers and ceramics) and of Technology of Metal, Polymer and Ceramics Manufacturing Processes, Universidad de Chile, College of Architecture and Urbanism, Department of Industrial Design (2002-2004).
