Hernán Ríos de Marimon is a founding partner of the Firm.
His professional practice is focused on advising clients in the areas of litigation and trademarks, patents, copyrights, domain names on the internet. He also represents the Firm’s clients in negotiation and contracts related to Industrial Property and in matters of unfair competition and advertising. He also practices in matters of Insurance Law and in the field of Public and Private International Law.
Previously, he acted as counsel of the Chilean State’s Insurance Institute, of which he was Legal director. He was Legal Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1976-1985) and Ambassador of Chile before the Netherlands and Denmark (1985-1990).
He was a Law professor at the following: Pontificie Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad Central, and Universidad Finis Terrae.

-Frequently appointed as arbitrator for commercial and insurance matters.

– Chilean Association of Industrial Property (ACHIPI).
– Chilean Bar Association.
– Former Chilean State’s correspondent for Unidroit (International Institute for the Unification of Private Law; Rome, Italy)
